Celtics Spring Pond Hockey (Interest Due by Feb 20)

For the last few years, we've been organizing Pond Hockey teams for players in the Jerome footprint. Whether or not your player is planning on playing for Jerome High School, it's a great way to meet other hockey players in the area, meet fellow Jerome classmates, and Jerome upperclassmen. All current Jerome students (including current Seniors) and rising 9th graders (current 8th graders) are welcome for the High school teams. In addition, this year, we're going to help organize U14, U12, and U10 teams.

Last year, we had over 50 players playing across 3 teams in the HS Midget division. We'd love to have your player come play with us this year! For those of you who might not be familiar with Pond Hockey, it's a low commitment, fun time: 

• Dates:  10 weekend games between Mar 26-June 5. No weekly practices.
• Players: 3 skaters/1 goalies on the ice (13 players dressed/18 player rosters)
• Play Style:  No checking. Penalties are just penalty shots. Games are pretty high scoring end-to-end action.
• It's a great opportunity for some more ice time
• Cost: Are about $200 for games, jersey and socks. (Generally, we will re-use jerseys if you have them from last year) Final price will be communicated when final registration numbers are in and teams are assigned.

We will likely do 1-2 preseason practices in late March and then launch into the season. After the first game, there will be no additional practices. We are very flexible for other spring sports, family travel, etc.
